Diets don’t work in the long run and some can deprive you of essential nutrients, leaving you feeling tired and miserable, and even contribute to weight gain afterwards. Calorie counting and points systems focus on numbers and don’t always encourage healthy food choices.
Healthy and sustainable weight loss goes beyond calorie restriction and this is where Confident You programmes come in. The Confident You Weight Loss, Transformation and Mind and Body programmes are run over a 12 week period with regular consultations and support.
This individualised food and supplement plan will focus on foods and nutrients to nourish you and not deprive you of vital nutrients that so called diet foods are often lacking.
Nutritional therapy always seeks to investigate underlying causes of health issues, and when it comes to weight loss your nutritional therapist may consider the following:
- Food Intolerance Testing: IgG blood tests can identify intolerant foods, which could contribute to weight gain
- Hormonal Testing: Thyroid, adrenal and sex hormone imbalances can also affect weight loss, and screening can help to detect if there are imbalances
- Genetic Testing: Certain genetic variations can determine how sensitive you are to carbohydrates and fats, which can help to fully tailor your weight loss programme
Long LastingThe Confident You programme not only educates; but empowers you to make food choices that will help you to lose weight in a long lasting and sustainable way. We focus on healthy eating and increasing your food choices, rather than restricting them, and work with you to create a plan that fits in with your body’s requirements and your lifestyle. Confident You is not a temporary fix, but rather aims to provide you with the tools and confidence to change your food choices and eating patterns beyond the length of the programme.
We recognise that weight loss is not an overnight fix - in fact the slower and steadier the better in the long run! During this time it is important to feel supported and at You Nutritional Therapy we are here to provide that for you.
Confident You Weight LossFollowing your initial consultation 5 follow up sessions over the 12 week period help to monitor progress and allow us to make amendments to your plan as necessary, as well as providing you with the support and motivation to help achieve your goals.
Confident you TransformationThe most effective results for weight loss involve a combination of nutritional intervention alongside exercise. The Confident:You Transformation programme combines the nutritional plan and support outlined above alongside regular personal training sessions to help you not only lose body fat but to help you to shape and sculpt your body.
This programme provides you with the nutritional sessions outlined in the Confident You Weight Loss programme with 24 personal training sessions* (2 per week) over the 12 week period to help to transform your body.
*Personal training sessions take place in your home, garden or in a local outdoor venue within 5 miles of KT19.
Confident You Mind and BodyEmotions and food can often be heavily interlinked and so the Confident You Mind and Body programme combines personalised nutritional therapy with other integrative therapies including NLP, hypnotherapy and counselling.
Hypnotherapy explores the root of the eating habit by looking at the subconscious mind. When combined with NLP it helps to change negative behaviour, by altering thought patterns through language.
In addition to nutritional therapy sessions, you also take part in therapy sessions with Gabriella Vidale (BSc Psychology, dip.Integrative Hypnotherapy, Psychotherapy, Counselling & NLP Practitioner, GHR Registered - therapyforthemind.co.uk)
This programme provides you with the nutritional sessions of the Confident You Weight Loss Programme with fortnightly therapy sessions.
Confident You Together Combining nutrition, fitness and integrated therapies in a small group setting, the Confident You Together programme gives a fully holistic approach towards long lasting weight loss.
Weekly meetings over a 12-week period provide nutritional workshops, group NLP and hypnotherapy sessions, as well as a chance to share experiences and motivation in a supportive and friendly environment.
In addition to weekly meetings, you will gain access to 12 boot camp sessions, 12 yoga sessions, 2x 30-minute individual telephone NLP sessions plus at home workout and yoga video links and a delicious healthy recipe e-book.
